TIP – it’s really helpful to bring your approximate sizes, and maybe a photograph or two of your kitchen along with you. Have a look on Pinterest or in your favourite home magazine for design styles and bring them with you too if you want to steal an idea – just like you would if you were changing hairstyle! Pictures of any special features you might like us to include for you like a window seat or even an AGA! 

• To start, you need to know what the design will be – most rooms have limitations of either something practical like beams or the lack of electrical or water sources in the right place. So, get the design sorted with the help of one of our skilled interior experts. They are very experienced, friendly and helpful and know that getting a good design is what matters most in your decision. Our in house Computer Aided Design (CAD) system will allow you to see in 3D or even virtual reality exactly how your new kitchen might look, and you can change things around to get a feel of what would suit YOU best. Everyone has different and individual priorities, one design doesn’t fit all, even in the same room.

• Secondly, get the look right – our own brand kitchen has lots of different options from painted shaker to sleek handle less curves – once you have a design in mind, its easier to imagine how much colour and pattern you will see. Again, the CAD system is invaluable as you can change styles virtually to help you decide.

TIP – It’s really popular to mix different colours in the kitchen. Wall units and base units can be different as can an island – if you like a strong colour like anthracite or purple but don’t want to use it all over, try just an island or a centre wall cupboard – it works really well, and gives you a truly unique look.
