This new build home required a bespoke his and hers dressing room, a beautiful addition to the bedroom, and a place to be organised and tidy.
This client was building a beautiful home in London, where a wine cellar is a must. Specialist firm quotes were astronomical so as we were on site installing the bedroom, so at their request we quoted for the wine room, collaborating with them and their ideas, resulting in this truly stunning and bespoke space.
This busy boutique B&B owner needed a calm and perfect space to call her own, and also incorporating a lot of organised storage for her letting room essentials.
The challenge here was to blend with our client’s beautiful room panelling and achieve this soft feminine look. She needed a lot of wardrobe space and had the perfect wall to accommodate it. We love a client who has their own definite ideas to work with, It lets us show off our flexibility and it’s exciting for us to make their vision come to life.
We were asked to provide a comprehensive storage solution that wasn’t too intrusive to this dormer bedroom, encompassing the space both ways out of the corner in a way that didn’t clutter the fabulous space in the room and its views.
A welcoming and restful second bedroom was required for this new build property. This stunning bedroom required a stylish but functional storage solution that enhanced the space while maintaining the sleek interior design of the overall property.
Our client wanted a guest bedroom that would ease the storage burden on their main bedroom. Things like heavy coats, ski gear and holiday clothes were taking up space that they wanted to use more often. They weren’t averse to filling the room to create as much storage and use as possible but stipulated that it had to flow, no awkward corners, and a cohesive design.

Our client’s brief was simple. They wanted a large kitchen designed over 2 walls, combining functional storage and integrated appliances with a long right angled island with plentiful seating. The focal point of the room was to be the central island with booth seating.
The client decided to merge both their old kitchen layout with the dining room, while adding a large double storey extension to the back of their house. Working off plan we were able to create a generous open planned kitchen and diner that was the perfect space to relax and entertain family and friends.
Despite the scale and size of the build, we worked together with the client to monitor the overall cost at every stage and were pleasantly surprised to meet the clients expectations in terms of both budget and time-scale.
Using a mix of soft, contrasting colours we were able to achieve a bright and calming look, designed to complement the full length bi-fold sliding doors already in place. In addition we opted to use 2 tone display cabinets which work well with the worktops and base units and draw the eye to all areas of the kitchen.
When discussing the kitchen design with the client we quickly favoured a classic look rather than a high gloss, modern kitchen design. This option lent itself to our English Revival range with in-frame kitchen doors and curved kitchen base units. This was the ideal option as it was the perfect mix of classic design and the functional use of space the client required.
Together with integrated appliances and a double stainless steel fridge and freezer we also used soft lighting to create an illuminated larder cupboard, catering for all the clients baking ingredients and preserves.

Designer; We are over the moon with the results of this kitchen and we have used many elements of the design with other kitchen projects. The mix of colours work very well and with the large island and seating area making a true focal point of the room we are delighted with the way the kitchen flows and makes use of every inch of space. Most importantly our client is delighted.

Finding the perfect storage solutions for small bedrooms can feel like a tricky puzzle. You want to maximise storage without sacrificing style, and sometimes it seems like there just isn’t enough room to make it all fit. But don’t worry—there are plenty of creative storage solutions for a small bedroom that can turn even the cosiest of spaces into a model of functionality and flair.
When dealing with small bedrooms, sloping ceilings and distinctive architectural features can present both challenges and opportunities. By integrating these elements into your wardrobe design, you can make the most of your space while enhancing the room’s overall usability and style.
Sloping Ceilings: Instead of viewing sloped ceilings as a limitation, use them as an opportunity to create bespoke storage solutions for small bedrooms. Custom wardrobes that follow the contours of these slopes can optimise space and offer practical storage without compromising aesthetics.
Architectural Elements: Features such as beams or columns can be incorporated into your wardrobe design. Custom solutions that work with these elements can maximise the usable space in your room while adding character and charm.
Space-Saving Doors: Bi-fold and sliding wardrobe doors are ideal for tight or awkward spaces. They provide easy access while conserving room around the wardrobe, making them perfect for areas where traditional hinged doors might be impractical.
One effective solution we implemented involved fitting wardrobes on a stair bulkhead. This otherwise unused space was transformed into valuable storage for towels and bedding. We chose bi-fold doors for easy access and applied a Cappuccino Gloss finish to add a touch of elegance, showcasing how to embrace a room’s unique features.
Cupboards installed above the bed can be a smart solution to maximise storage while keeping the floor area clear. This design takes advantage of vertical space that might otherwise be underutilised, providing additional storage without encroaching on the room’s limited floor space.
In this child’s bedroom, there’s a handy shelf for bedtime storybooks and brilliant storage above the bed for everything a Princess requires.
In small, dimly lit rooms, mirrors can work wonders to enhance the perception of space and light. By strategically incorporating mirrors into your wardrobe design, you can make even the tiniest room feel more open and airy.
One effective method is to use floor-to-ceiling mirrors or mirrored wardrobe doors. These elements reflect both natural and artificial light, helping to brighten the space and create the illusion of a larger area. In a recent project, we employed sliding wardrobes with mirrored doors in a small, dark room. This design choice not only provided essential storage but also maximised the light entering the room, making it feel significantly more spacious and inviting.
Architectural features such as nooks, alcoves, and bulkheads often present unique challenges in room design. However, these seemingly awkward spaces can be transformed into highly functional storage areas with the right approach. By creatively designing around these features, you can turn unused spaces into valuable assets for your storage needs.
Alcoves and bulkheads, which might initially seem like inconvenient design elements, can be cleverly adapted into practical storage solutions. For instance, an alcove near a stair bulkhead can be improved with a bespoke fitted wardrobe or some shelving, transforming it into a functional part of the room rather than an overlooked area.
Here, the (unfinished) wardrobes are installed into a typical semi with a main bedroom that has a bay window and a challenging layout. Again, this 1930’s room layout is common in our area.
The floor to ceiling wardrobes fit exactly and swallow double height hanging and a huge shelf above for sports bags and carry on cases. The cornice and dentil rail has been used to add character and substance, and the modern Stone Grey colour is bang on trend.
In small bedrooms, every corner offers an opportunity to enhance both functionality and style. Custom-designed solutions can turn even the smallest of corners into valuable storage and display areas, ensuring that every inch of your room is used efficiently.
Corners are often overlooked in standard furniture arrangements, but with bespoke designs, they can become essential storage and display spaces. Tailored wardrobes and shelving units can fit perfectly into these areas, providing both practical storage and stylish display options.
In a recent project for a teenage girl’s room, we transformed a small corner with a made-to-measure wardrobe solution. This custom design utilised the corner effectively, offering storage for clothing and display space for personal items. By employing a bespoke approach, we showcased how custom solutions can fully embrace every corner of a room, enhancing its functionality and visual appeal.
In small bedrooms, every inch counts when it comes to effective storage and stylish design. By applying innovative storage solutions for small bedrooms, you can make the most of your space, turning constraints into opportunities for smart and functional design. In this article we have been through a few ideas which we have had first hand experience with, but there is plenty more to consider when looking at wardrobe solutions for small bedrooms, like:
Floor-to-Ceiling Wardrobes: Extend your wardrobe design from floor to ceiling to fully utilise vertical space, offering ample storage for all your essentials.
Built-in Storage Solutions: Custom built-in wardrobes can fit perfectly into alcoves and corners, eliminating wasted space and providing a seamless look.
Under-Windows Storage: Transform the space beneath window sills into practical storage with drawer units or shelves, freeing up floor space.
Corner Wardrobes: Specially designed corner wardrobes can optimise storage and fit neatly into room layouts, making the most of underused corners.
Utilise Sloping Ceilings: Design wardrobes that accommodate sloping ceilings or unique angles, incorporating features like angled shelves and bi-fold doors.
Incorporate Mirrors: Use mirrors to create the illusion of more space and reflect light, making the room feel larger and brighter.
Built-in Shelving Above Doors: Make use of the space above doors for additional shelving, ideal for storing less frequently used items.
Sliding Doors: Choose sliding doors to save space and avoid the need for extra clearance, perfect for tight areas.
Multi-Functional Furniture: Consider furniture with built-in storage, such as beds with drawers or ottomans with hidden compartments, to enhance functionality.
By exploring and implementing these creative wardrobe ideas, you can transform a small bedroom into a well-organised, functional, and stylish space. Embrace these solutions to make the most of your room and enjoy a more comfortable living space.
