The summer of 2011 has certainly been a time of uncertainty for consumers. Stalwarts and well known names from our high street have been either struggling to remain in business or indeed failing altogether. This has touched our particular sector as our national competitor, Sharps Bedrooms, seek a new owner as their parent company Homeform are preparing for administration measures, although in their Moben and Dolphin brands only at the moment.

Should you as a consumer feel confident in your choice of retailer? The undoubted answer is a resounding yes for a number of reasons. Firstly can you rely on the absolute reliability of the best service from staff that may be looking at redundancy? This may be a moot point as in the case of Sharps they are all paid on a commission basis anyway. I have always maintained that the best staff should be service not commission orientated, and this will in turn bring reward, in other words, everyone's happy! Secondly, and very importantly, will your bedroom company be around long enough to service any guarantees they offer? Think carefully about this one, the best quality installations are potentially subject to minor or sometimes major defects which will undoubtedly affect your enjoyment and perception of this very important investment. Deane are still tweaking installations completed in the 80's! Deane Interior Solutions Ltd have always been renowned for their beautiful showroom at 87 Southampton Road, SO31 6AF so it is extremely exciting to learn that new showroom designs are soon to be completed.

Firstly there is now an interactive design area where a motorized 40” TV displays CAD examples of previous work and designs as well as giving the Deane Designer the opportunity to design your bedroom layout in store. This is a fantastic way of helping you visualize your ideal fitted bedroom or sliding wardrobe within the constraints of your own bedroom.

Our in store service will still be second to none with the ability to offer a comprehensive quotation based on your fitted wardrobe requirements and sizes however this service is complimented with a professional CAD design, tailored to your unique requirements.

Together with the interactive design area Deane Interior Solutions are now in the middle of creating a new and practical fitted bedroom stand, where all the colour and pattern options can be shown in unison with the mirror and glass colour options available.

The display will be finished in April and will incorporate a pull out and swivel system where we can show every door option as it will look within your bedroom with every colour and pattern choice on show.

This will make the whole process incredibly easy without the need to choose your bedroom layout from a sample swatch or a brochure.

Improving your experience in store is the most important element of our service and with the new additions this will make the design process extremely easy, offering a product breakdown, professional design and an accurate quotation for you to take away.

As everyone is aware there has recently been an increase in the cost of Value Added Tax for every day consumables with a 20 % VAT rate. The process of charging more tax on all purchases made by the consumer may well stabilise the buying habits of many people but will this process evidently transform the buying habits of the customer?
In an attempt to offer a buying incentive to all customers Deane Interior Solutions Ltd have displayed the PAY NO VAT banner since August 2010. This has been extremely successful with most customers opting to take advantage of the lower cost for a product that they would have realistically waited a little longer to buy. This has given Deane the opportunity to offer a clear incentive to customers before the increase came into effect, but how will this affect the prices of sliding wardrobes and fully fitted wardrobes from 4th January?
Deane Interior Solutions Ltd have frozen the prices of all products for January with a month extension being imposed on the PAY NO VAT deal. This does give the customer the peace of mind that the VAT rate will not dictate the price paid for their wardrobe however the 2.5% increase will allow a wider array of available deals to be made available for the consumer.
With many customers eager to watch what they spend this will result in Deane Interior Solutions ltd offering the customer more for their money, opening new opportunities to add additional products rather than any financial incentives.
As a result Deane Interior Solutions Ltd will keep the Carpet deal which up until now has been very successful as well as offering further product incentives in the forthcoming weeks.
